Twenty years from now
you will be more disappointed by the things
that you didn't do
than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines.

Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.

Is your front yard this pretty?!

Sunday, December 02, 2007

Wow. Xanga still exists.

I finally stumbled back here, so how about a bit of an update for the past several months...

Oh dear, where to begin....

The one year anniversary of Felichia's death. I've actually dealt with that quite well, I think. Turned 21 back in July. Lotsa great fun there. Granny's friend started giving me lessons on my guitar, and I picked it up quite well, although Amazing Grace was the only complete song I could play. haha. Made some amazing new friends. Lost some amazing friends. Finally let myself open up to love again...went from being the best of friends to talking about marriage and growing old together...and then he died in a car accident while I was in Chicago.

Now I live in the Charlestown Navy Yard in Boston. Insteada the beautiful front yard fulla big oak trees and horses and wildflowers, my front yard is a big wooden ship and lotsa freezin cold water and the Boston city line on the far side of the harbor. Pretty nice, actually, especially at night when it's all lit up. It's soo cold up here..... Can't wait for warmer weather and baseball. I'm not quite so good on the guitar anymore, but I'll get there.

Enough updating for now. I need to get back to cleaning my room and my bathroom. And trying to figure out why my shower doesn't have hot water. (Pray about that one.... Pray really hard....)

Hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday afternoon. :)
